The stock intake airbox on the 997.2 Carrera / S is a great piece: the design allows high pressure air from above the car to flood the engine with cold air. 

Many people ask for a lifetime, serviceable air filter that allows more air volume through the intake. We do not recommend air intake systems that replace the airbox on these models, and this filter kit is our recommended solution.
