The complete coil-over suspension upgrade that we use and enjoy on our own 997.2 GT3 "Touring Concept". In order to enhance our 4.1 engine experience we also utilize these shocks on our GT3 / GT3RS builds. Designed for 997 GT3 / GT3RS and GT2 cars that are primarily street driven and spiritedly in canyons, the combination of the TracTive System and DSC Controller upgrade allows for far more range (especially in the lower speeds and bumpier sections) and compliance that is not often associated with 997 GT cars. This kit is combined with improved PASM programming via the upgraded DSC Sport PASM Controller (also included). This also allows the factory PASM suspension button to function like stock, but now with two improved "normal" and "firm" modes. We recommend the correct set up with our upgraded Stage 1 rear link kit (including the toe steer, lock out plates and dog bones) for the fullest effect.
TracTive stand-alone electronically-adjustable shocks have been developed to implement high-tech semi-active suspension in any car.
The dampers are fitted with the TracTive patented DDA (Dynamic Damping Adjustment) valve. With its reaction time of 6 to 10 milliseconds from full soft to full hard, it is one of the fastest damping adjustments in the market. It demonstrates a tremendous stability and reproducibility, and is rapidly becoming THE technology chosen by high-end OE and racing teams. For every application the damping level and damping adjustment range is set-up from factory. It is possible to tune the damping level if required.
The display allows you to tune the suspension to almost any application by controlling roll, pitch and dive motions of the vehicle. The motion of the vehicle is monitored by a g-sensor integrated in the control unit, which is installed close to the center of gravity of the vehicle. The calibration is set up in the factory and can be updated if required.
The stand-alone control system comes with a touch screen display that allows the driver to make on-the-fly adjustments, save settings and even make driver-specific setups. The driver is able to adjust the damping of the front and rear axle in 5 levels, but also the suspension resistance to roll, and pitch/dive in 5 levels. The display can be centrally mounted for easy access. The kit includes a remote knob that can be centrally mounted for easy access.
This electronic suspension kit is valved specifically for Road and Track use, with a focus on sufficient comfort for optimal Road use while maintaining sport performance. Each kit is engineered for optimal performance and durability. The dampers are fitted with springs and have an infinite ride height adjustment either through the platforms on the shock bodies or through the separate adjusters.
These kits are made specifically for OE top mounts, which means that the set contains either formed springs or adaptors to suit the stock parts. TracTive does not supply this kit with top mounts, we recommend replacing stock units when changing to new shockabsorbers.
The DSC Sport Controller expands the dynamic range and rate of response of your factory damper controller, providing both improved track performance and a more comfortable ride on the street. It simply replaces the factory PASM controller with the DSC Sport Plug N Play controller. Like all DSC Sport controllers, the DSC Sport V1 Plug N Play Controller allows users to tune by g-force, brake pressure, acceleration, speed, steering, and control the effective damping range via shock calibration. (Car must be equipped with PASM, it is the purchasers responsibility to verify fitment)
DSC features 2 modes, “Normal” and “Sport” which will display on the dash during mode selection. Mode display on the dash in the same way that the factory controller does.
