2004 996 GT3 with SharkWerks Coolant Fix, Guard LSD & RSS Suspension

This awesome 2004 996 GT3 came into us for some future-proofing and sprucing up. It already came with the Euro RS tail, front bumper, sport bucket seats and TC Design Roll Bar. Over the years it had developed the infamous GT1 coolant pipe leak so along with the SharkWerks "fix" we also installed a beefed-up Guard LSD, Numeric Shifter Cables, RSS engine mounts and rear links.

In she comes:

Some evidence of coolant leaking all over the lower part of the engine:

Off come the lower panels:

And the engine is next:

Out comes the factory limited slip differential:

Now ready to get pinned Sharkwerks-style (see this article for more information on the process):

And ready to go back in after the upgrade from Guard:

Meanwhile the Numeric Shifter Cables get installed:

Over to the rear end of the car... the factory upper suspension links ("dog bones") are replaced with adjustable RSS rear links with their more-solid pivot points. The rear bump steer correction kit is also installed along with lock out plates on the lower side:

And ready to go home and live a happy life!
