Quoted Shipping Price and Selected Service
The price paid at checkout is estimated by our system and may be subject to change prior to your order shipping. We will notify you after your order if there is any discrepancy with the shipping quote, which may be any of the following: Undercharge, Overcharge, Expected Delivery Time, or Service Used. For example, the product ordered may be out of stock, and unable to ship as quickly as needed, or the provided estimate may be too low depending on the shipping destination.
Also, we may substitute alternative equivalent services such as Fedex in place of UPS, or USPS Priority Mail Express if it means your product will arrive faster, such as when shipping direct from a manufacturer. Most often the shipping price and service ordered at checkout will be honored, but at times the quote provided by the web site will be impossible to match without suffering significant financial losses. In this case, we will provide a recommended alternative or price difference, with the option to cancel or refund the order if the rate cannot be agreed upon by both parties.
Products shipped within the USA will be subject to local sales tax, though Shark Werks, Inc will only collect sales tax directly on purchases shipped within California.
International Shipping - Legal, Customs, VAT, and Duty Import Fees (Taxes)
When ordering from Shark Werks, Inc. and sharkwerks.com, you are responsible for assuring the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country.
The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, and brokerage fees which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; Shark Werks, Inc. has no control over these charges, nor can Shark Werks, Inc. predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
- Customs offices in some countries require the importer of record to provide a particular form of identification before releasing a shipment. You may be required to provide an identification number such as a Unique Identification Number, CPF, or Tax ID.
- Countries that require an identification number include: Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, India, Israel, Peru, Qatar, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, and Turkey.
The buyer of all products is responsible for all additional delivery fees, duty, and taxes. Shark Werks, Inc. will not falsify or understate commercial invoice or shipping costs, use exemptions such as incorrect HS Codes, or item descriptions. All items will be described as accurately as possible and ship with an official Commercial Invoice that will match the prices paid on this web site.
Products manufactured in the USA that are sold and shipped to participating USCMA ("NAFTA") countries, Mexico and Canada, will include a USCMA certificate which should reduce duty charges, but not taxes. Additionally, we recommend air freight over ground if you would like to avoid additional Brokerage charges to Canada. Please email us for the best quote on air shipping to Canada prior to ordering.
Delivery Times, Stocked Items and Special Orders
Many items on our web site, including "Shark Werks" brand exhausts, engine parts, and tools are kept in stock at our facility or will be available to ship within three (3) business days. However, this is not always the case. We make no guarantee that any item is available for immediate or expedited shipping, and we recommend planning ahead for large services such as exhaust installations or engine-out repair (coolant pipes, in particular). We will do our best to expedite any order, and the best way to check if an item is in stock and ready to ship is to call us (510-651-0300) or e-mail () prior to ordering.
Some items on our web site are generally not stocked, due to inventory cost or size, and these items may need to be imported or shipped directly from manufacturers. Large items, including wheels and aerodynamics parts, are usually shipped direct from the manufacturer to reduce shipping costs to the customer, and smaller parts may be shipped from the manufacturers to save time for delivery. Most products on our web site will ship within 1-week, but some custom products may take as long as 4-weeks to deliver. If a product delivery time is expected to exceed 30-days, we will generally refund the order immediately.
Returns on "Shark Werks" Brand Items
You may return new, unopened "Shark Werks" brand items within 30 days of delivery for a refund minus the shipping costs and processing fees we are charged which are not refunded (typically 4%). We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). If an order is cancelled prior to shipping, the processing fee will not be refunded as we cannot recover it once the order is placed.
You should expect to receive your refund within 30-days of your package being delivered to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
Due to the cost and time of packaging, materials, and processing orders, any open "Shark Werks" brand product will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee, other than incorrect or defective items. If the item is damaged or modified in any way, no refund will be granted.

Returns On All Other Products
Our standard return policy is 30-days, but exceptions may be made depending on the item and conditions. There will be a minimum 15% restocking fee within this time frame, plus the buyer will pay shipping and import costs to return the item to our shop. If the item is damaged or modified in any way, no refund will be granted. Custom parts such as forged wheels (HRE, Forgeline etc.)., cannot be returned unless defective. Please Contact Us prior to initalizing any returns or let us know ahead of time if you are concerned about the return policy on a specific product.
