2005 996 Turbos S GT800 3.8L Motor Build, BBS Wheels & Moton Suspension

This stunning black 996 Twin Turbo S came into us for an extreme make-over in order to be track-ready including the EVO GT800 kit with a full 3.8 motor build and conversion. With a TechArt front end and GT2 rear and riding on BBS race wheels she looked the part. For the suspension double adjustable Moton Clubsports were chosen.

The first thing is to remove the engine and transmission from the car (with only 1200 miles on it!):


Then we start to strip down the motor:


With the auxillary parts off we start to get down to the long block:


The case is split and the GT3R Oil pump is installed:

ARP head studs are chosen (vs the stock as shown):


In they go along with a set of stronger Carillo rods:


In go the SharkWerks/EVO 3.8L pistons and liners:


Secured with factory tools:


And installed:


On go the heads:


And the rest of the assembly and she starts to look like a long block again:


In go the lifters:


And then we time the cams:


The stage III clutch is installed to harness that power:

The EVOMS ClubSport intercoolers are installed along with the upgraded boost hoses:


In go the Moton Clusport coilovers and Brembo GTR brakes in the rear:


The rear canisters are installed along with the customary SharkWerks logo:

For the rear she was given a 996GT2 wing/decklid treatment:


And for the front a TechArt GT Street front bumper gives her an aggressive look:


And the BBS wheels with R-compound race tires:
