2008 997 GT3RS SharkWerks Bypass, RS Roll Bar & RS Seats

The owner of this Green 2008 997 GT3RS decided to convert his US spec car over to the European spec with the factory GT3 seats and roll bar. Without the european plates on his car we had to custom-fab our own plates to fit the roll bar. To round things off in the interior we installed the SharkWerks Fire Extinguisher kit in RS Green. The owner also enjoys his track days and hence went with some protective radiator screens. Also on tap was the SharkWerks GT3 Muffler Bypass system to beef up the sound and add to his weight reduction plan. "Turtle" was later-on featured together with our other two infamous Green RS' on Speed Channel's "Supercars Exposed" TV show and on the cover of Modified Luxury & Exotics Magazine.

The green RS is a favorite here for obvious reasons. This one is dubbed Project "Turtle".

The first step is our muffler bypass system which saves 16 pounds off of the rear end and livens things up in the sound department!

Next we installed the Cargraphic mesh-screen kit to protect those radiators.

Over to the interior and our come the seats, steering wheel, side panels and the stripping begins!

With the interior out of the way we can now weld our roll-bar plates in order to fit the European RS roll bar. These are actually more secture than the factory ones found on European and early RS'.

The roll bar can now be mounted as shown.

With some careful carpet cutting all is returned back to a stock-like look.

In go the European Carbon GT3RS seats and sport pedal kit.

Since the car is green and has European GT3 seats we installed a green version of our fire extinguisher kit.
