2008 White 997 GT2 for Shark Werks Exhaust

This clean white 2008 GT2 was brought in for a little volume boost. Really the car is nearly perfect in the owner's eyes (and who could fault him?) but for one small complaint: it just didn't put out the bark to match the bite. We told him the keep the stock cats to avoid issues with check engine lights and emissions testing, and only to modify the muffler. We have our GT2 Exhaust for this purpose, which actually comes in a bit lighter weight than the stock titanium center, offers a small bump in power and faster turbo spool-up and of course a deeper and more exotic tone. There's no drone or resonance, so when cruising in 6th gear, you can still carry a conversation with your passenger.

On the lift she goes, and James reaches up to start removing the rear bumper cover (which comes off in about 10 minutes):

And the aluminum crash bumper is exposed:

Remove the 2x 16mm bolts and:

Blue titanium reveals the hot spots and restrictions in this exhaust, where the muffler internally has two u-turn bends.

On goes the Shark Werks exhaust which has OEM-diameter tubing and mandrel bends for maximum flow:

All put back together to enjoy this sunny day:

A little sound clip:

It does sound a bit different and a little quieter under boost (not shown in this video) and now you can hear the turbos with the muffler bypassed.

Here's a video from a GT2RS showing a bit more of the exhaust:

And a few more pics of this beauty :)
