2008 White 997 GT2 - Shark Werks Phase1 - EVOMS, Champion & Bilstein

Following on from the media coverage of our Outlaw GT2 it wasn't long before we actually built a second SharkWerks Phase1 GT2 customer car identical to ours. With 775hp courtesy of some choice parts from EVOMS, EVOMSit, Champion & SharkWerks the power delivery refreshes an already powerful GT2 platform with more response, power and of course fun. For the chassis updates we also added our Bilstein Clubsport suspension with RSS updates as well as a few GT2RS touches.

Out comes the engine to get the SharkWerks coolant fix underway:

A close-up of the pinning fix:

With the engine out the intake manifold is removed:

The more restrictive GT2 intake manifold on the left is dispensed with for a better flowing unit to help get us that extra power:

Reversed:

An IPD upgraded plenum is added in order to accept the larger GT3 throttle body as well:

As well us upgraded spark plugs the EVOMS upgrade coil packs are added:

These larger 68mm VTG turbos are added into the already powerful equation:

Before the engine is re-installed we improve air-flow and reduce lag with the EVOMS replacement turbo duct kit:

The transmission is assembled back alone with a light weight flywheel and upgraded clutch kit:

A light weight smaller crank pulley is also added for better response:

The belly of the beast includes the new turbo chargers, EVOMS headers, sharkwerks exhaust and Cargraphic high-flow catalysts- all designed to reduce lag whilst provide improved flow:

Champion intercoolers and boost hoses are used to replaced the factory units:

With the EVOMSit TuneIT module this engine below will be running either 93 or 91 octane switchable tuning files:

It's not all about horse power for our Phase1 set up as we dispense with the factory PASM coil overs in favor of the motorsport-derived Bilstein Clubsport suspension...

The compression and rebound settings are set on the Bilstein coil over with easy-to-turn dials:

And installed in the rear:

To complete the suspension set up the RSS rear upper and lower links are also added to reduce flex and improve response:

Studs R Us:

Let's widen that front track shall we?
