The original shifter cable bracket on 981 models has been problematic for some, especially when the cables are removed from the transmission for a clutch or flywheel replacement, or transmission repair. 

The concern with the original design is that a plastic retainer clicks into the bracket on the transmission, but it can easily pop out, in particular after it has been removed before (a.k.a, it's almost a "one time installation" part). When this occurs, the car can become undriveable.

Our Shifter Cable Lock Upgrade fixes this issue permanently. We manufactured a CNC Stainless Steel hook to loop around the cables, that is then secured to a supplied set of original shifter cable brackets, that we have modified. We tapped the existing original Porsche brackets in the correct location, to receive the bolt and send all of the replacement hardware, so you can simply unbolt your old cable brackets and install these.
