2016 Cayman GT4 Shark Werks Transmission Re-gear, LWF, Powerkit - Carmine

Carmine Red looks brilliant on the 981 GT4 and this example is now equipped with the full Sharkwerks spec GT4 conversion for NorCal mountain and coastal roads (or daily driving). The much talked-about and critiqued stock gear ratio (not to mention 3rd gear failure) was apprecied with the Guard mainshaft and shorter 2nd gear (now you can shift into 3rd at 62mph instead of 80!) along with our shorter close ratio 3, 4, 5 gearset (approximate difference is 14% in 3rd, 18% in 4th, and 16% in 5th). For improved traction and stability 50/50 Guard LSD was installed with the transmission overhaul (do not overlook the weak one which also needs replacing). As is signature with any naturally aspirated build here, the Shark Werks Light Weight Flywheel conversion was used making the response and acceleration much-improved vs. the stock set up,  With an additional 35hp coming from our Shark Werks Powerkit, the 91 Octane Evomsit tune also improves throttle response, smooths out the power-curve and makes use of the additional air provided by the IPD Plenum and GT3 throttle body conversion as well as the twin BMC filters. The additional Aero from the Salter wing Uprights, and a tighter shifter mechanism via the Numeric upgrade were also added. The car with steel brakes and we replaced the heavier stock set up with the 2-piece Slotted Girodisc upgrade
